Digitalisation Is a Long Path that We will Have to Walk
The client always wants one thing: a better, cheaper and faster service
Petya Dimitrova, Mrs. Economy 2018:
I am filled with respect and gratitude to all who have appreciated our work and our development during these years. This is an award for our entire team.
The results are very satisfying to us, as well as the
fact that, for another year, we are among the leaders in profit in the banking
sector. The acquisitions we made two years ago and the ones we are making now
are of great importance to us. I am happy we preserved our team, they are always
next to me and we will continue to develop together.
There is a lot of talk about the entry of fintech
companies in the banking sector, still, I do not see them as competitors, but
as partners, and I am convinced that this is the successful model, which is
beneficial for both sides. At Postbank, this is the strategy we have adopted.
The client always wants one thing: a better, cheaper
and faster service. We strive to improve our products and services. In this process,
the digitalisation is not just a step, but a long path that we have to walk.
Postbank is working in this direction. Our goal is to do this the best way,
because it will benefit our clients. It will affect the products, services and
the time for providing these services. Our bank is universal, and we are ready
to finance every good project. In 2019, we will focus on the acquisition of
Piraeus Bank Bulgaria. This will happen in a way that our clients, employees and shareholders will be satisfied.
The future of banks is linked to more digitalisation
and penetration of artificial intelligence, and no one should bury their head
in the sand and say that this is not about to happen.
