More than 50% of Bulgarian businesses turn to AI
Nearly a quarter of them, however, think there is no need for the technology, a BIA survey shows
2023 was a great year for artificial intelligence. One-click reporting, studio-quality photos, copywriting, idea generation - we truly live in the age of generative AI. The wave is already flooding businesses around the world as more and more companies are considering or already implementing AI soon. Artificial intelligence is here and it's already accessible, and the examples of how AI can improve companies' processes and increase profits are growing.
Bulgarian businesses are already exploring the use of this technology in their work, but many are still approaching it cautiously. A new study aims to determine the readiness of businesses to take advantage of AI's capabilities. It was carried out by the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) between 1-30 June 2023 through an online survey of member companies.
Just over 26 per cent (26.1 per cent) of respondents declared that they use artificial intelligence (AI) in their business processes, and 27.5 per cent plan to invest in AI in the next three years.
For 18.3 percent of enterprises, implementing AI is too expensive, and another 18.3 percent say their business has no need for AI. One in ten companies are hesitant to invest in AI solutions, the survey also shows.
