The Bulgarian courier company Ekont announced that it will start delivering merchandise from Turkey. The company will work together with the Turkish platform Yollando, which offers local brands, such as LC Waikiki, Koton, and Massimo Duti.
All customs fees are included in the shipping price. Thus, a package of up to 1 kg delivered from Turkey to an Econt office in Bulgaria costs BGN 15.54 (about EUR 7.75). For shipments of up to two kilograms, the fee reaches BGN 19.48 (almost 10 euros), and up to three kilograms - the price is BGN 24.08 (about 12 euros), according to information on the company's website.
The cross-border shopping service is already active, and thus Turkey becomes the third neighbouring country, after Romania and Greece, to which Econt delivers shipments.
New office
The courier company also plans to open an office in Istanbul.
From 5 February 2024, customers will be able to send individual shipments from the Econt Istanbul office," states a response to a question posed by Economic.bg on the company's Facebook page.
What is Yollando?
Yollando is an Istanbul-based company that offers shopping and package forwarding services from Turkey to the whole world. The platform delivers goods to 220 countries, including Bulgaria.
"Yollando was established to contribute to the export of Turkish brands. Apart from shopping consultancy, we are already producing alternative solutions for logistics and product supply to individual persons and companies both at home and abroad," the company writes in its LinkedIn profile.
Our goal is to simplify the shopping process for Bulgarians who like to buy from Turkey, but face challenges when shopping offline," Yollando told Economic.bg.
The company also comments that there is significant interest on the part of Bulgarians in its various product categories.
We are thrilled by this interest in our services, which make cross-border shopping more accessible and efficient," Yollando said.
The official partnership between Econt and Yollando began on 30 January 2024.
