  • Bulgaria aims to adopt the euro on January 1, 2026, which will bring benefits such as more investment, a better credit rating, lower interest rates, and a psychological boost to achieve the average European standard of living
  • The Ministry is working towards smart growth through high-tech projects and active collaboration between business and academia, particularly through programs such as PNIIDIT and initiatives such as INSAIT.
  • The share of financial instruments under the Competitiveness Program reaches 40%, with Bulgaria among the EU leaders in their use. However, grants remain an important tool for specific policies;
  • A network of technology transfer offices and a Technology Transfer Fund are being set up to speed up the commercialization of scientific developments and improve the link between knowledge and the market;
  • The Ministry supports business initiatives in the field of digitization and energy efficiency, observing a natural tendency among companies towards clean technologies and green solutions.
