Dronamics will service the first postal deliveries with drones in Greece

The Bulgarian cargo drone company Dronamics has entered into an agreement with the national postal service of Greece to begin making the first unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) deliveries in that nation.
Greece is the launch market for the Dronamics commercial operations, which are due to begin early next year. The agreement with Hellenic Post (ELTA) initially provides for deliveries to be made between the mainland and the numerous Greek islands. At the next stage, there is a plan to explore the possibility of international shipments by drone from Athens to key European cities.
ELTA has over 190 years of history and operates approximately 1,100 service points across the country. After nearly two centuries of existence, the Greek national postal operator is clearly open to adopting innovative solutions.
As for Dronamics, the Bulgarian company promises cargo transportation that will be up to 80% faster, 50% cheaper and with 60% lower CO2 emissions compared to traditional services.
Its remote-controlled Black Swan aircraft needs only 400 meters of runway to take off and land, which is a viable solution for reaching remote and underserved areas where traditional airport infrastructure is absent or underdeveloped. For Greece, this is particularly useful – the country has over 300 inhabited islands, through whose communities the Dronamics business model will now be tested.
Dronamics is on a mission to provide same-day delivery to everyone, everywhere, and joining forces with ELTA helps us advance our goal. This collaboration is a key step towards empowering communities, bridging distances and making essential services affordable and accessible to all," commented Svilen Rangelov, Dronamics co-founder and CEO.
The mail and parcel sector is becoming one of the early adopters of the Dronamics' cargo drone technology. Last month, Dronamics announced an agreement with Emirates Post Group, the national postal service of the UAE.
