Rumen Radev Promotes “Industrial Cohesion” to António Costa

Prime Minister Rumen Radev made these remarks at a media briefing following a meeting with Koshta, who is visiting Bulgaria at the invitation of the Bulgarian prime minister.

Radev added that he had suggested to Koshta that they consider a new term – “industrial cohesion.”

Let us not just talk about cohesion as it has been understood so far – classical cohesion in social programs and infrastructure – but rather a form of cohesion that enables all member states to participate, in principle, on an equal footing in Europe’s technological and industrial development,” Radev explained.

“Because if we do not achieve this, the processes of fragmentation – precisely in the field of high technology and high-value-added industries – will continue to intensify,” the prime minister noted.

The Bulgarian prime minister added that the two had also discussed issues related to the Multiannual Financial Framework and the enlargement of the European Union.
