The Plovdiv company VINELI Re wants to build wind turbines together with a solar power plant in the land of the village of Chernookovo, near Dobrich, in the northeastern part of Bulgaria. This is evident from the company's investment proposal, which was submitted for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) at the Environmental Inspectorate in Varna.
There is a plan to construct two wind generators for electricity production, with the land where they will be placed being owned by the enterprise. Each of the wind farms will be 8 MW in capacity and will be connected to a new 110 kV step-up substation. The investor firm also plans to build a photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of up to 120 MWp on the same property.
The project envisions using modern wind generators equipped with technology that allows them to rotate with the direction of the wind in order to achieve the optimal position for intercepting the airflow and the optimal angle of the blades. Reduced noise level will be the leading criterion when choosing the brand and model of the generators.
The implementation of the project is related to the company's main interest in investments in the production and storage of electricity from renewables, the project proposal states.
