Bulgargaz will deliver one tanker under the contract with Botas
The public supplier has launched a tender for one shipment of liquefied natural gas
Bulgargaz EAD has launched a tender procedure for the delivery of one shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to a terminal in Turkey. Access to the infrastructure of Bulgaria’s southern neighbor is available only under the contract with Botas, which is used extremely rarely due to unfavorable conditions.
The public supplier notes that the terminal near Alexandroupolis has been undergoing scheduled maintenance since early April. Upon its completion, Bulgargaz has a scheduled delivery of another shipment, which will be injected into the Chiren underground gas storage facility to secure part of the consumption during the 2026–2027 winter period.
Thirty-seven international companies (traders and producers of liquefied natural gas) have been invited to participate in the tender procedure for the terminal in Turkey. These companies have expressed interest in previous tenders conducted by the company and have successfully passed the approval procedure of Bulgargaz EAD. The bids received will be evaluated in accordance with the Methodology based on the criteria of lowest delivery price, delivery term, and payment method.
