Experience from Belgium: Glavbolgarstroy participates in key energy events

Glavbolgarstroy is busy taking part in two key energy events in Belgium, focused on energy transition and carbon-neutral technology solutions. 

Visits to key energy centers

Representatives of the company participated in the "Connecting Ecosystems in the Energy Sector" international initiative, organized by the Flemish Investment and Trade Agency (Flanders Investment & Trade). The event took place from November 19 to 21, 2024 in the Belgian region of Flanders.

The Glavbolgarstroy representatives visited leading science and technology centers, including the Green Energy Park and the Flanders Institute for Decarbonisation Technologies in the town of Zellik. There, they learned more about innovative technologies and system solutions for carbon-neutral technologies that play a critical role in the energy transition in the region.

The main topics of the discussions included:

• Promoting joint local energy systems.
• Development of B2B energy networks.
• Integration of carbon-neutral technologies into infrastructure.

Participation in the Energy Mission 2024 forum

Another key activity of the delegation was the participation in the Energy Mission 2024 - Benelux Edition forum held in Brussels. The event brought together over 200 business leaders, representatives of government institutions and industry experts who were there to discuss cross-border infrastructures for sustainable industry, development of hydrogen networks, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies.

For the Glavbolgarstroy team, the forum offered valuable opportunities to learn about new policies and technologies shaping the future of the energy sector. Among them, is strengthening the commitment to integrating sustainable construction practices, and adapting ideas and strategies applicable to Southeastern Europe.

The events showed how the experience of the Benelux region can inspire solutions to the challenges of the energy transition in Central and Eastern Europe.
