After the Bulgarian software company Musala Soft became part of the Czech investment holding KKCG in 2022, it is now taking the next step in its development. The company is merging with Avenga, another entity under the KKCG umbrella, and will now operate under its brand. The purpose of this strategic alliance is to strengthen the capabilities of the newly created Avenga in key areas such as artificial intelligence, custom software development and enterprise technology.
The merger under the common Avenga brand is a natural continuation of the processes underway in the company following the acquisition of Musala Soft and the subsequent merger of Qinshift and Avenga in 2024. According to the official announcement, the Bulgarian company - with its long experience in software engineering and innovation - has played a key role in establishing Avenga as a provider of complex technology solutions in the European and global market.
The goal of the common brand is greater international recognition. Avenga is a global player with over 6,000 employees in Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia. The company serves world-leading organizations in the financial, telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing and life sciences sectors.
With Avenga, we have brought together the right people, the right scale and the right mindset," says Karel Komarek, founder of KKCG
The rollout of Avenga's new brand identity begins today and will continue in the coming months as we expand our presence in key markets and deepen our expertise in areas such as data analytics, AI and digital engineering.
Goodbye, Musala Soft
Recall that the acquisition of Musala Soft by Aricoma Group, part of the investment portfolio of Czech billionaire Karel Komarek, was announced in 2022. The deal for 100% of the Bulgarian company's shares is one of the most significant on the local market, given the company's then turnover and profit and its long history as one of the leading software companies in the country.
The Aricom Group itself is an alliance of ten technology firms with significant revenues and profits working with a number of major international clients. The acquisition of Musala Soft was then seen as a strategic step to expand the group's influence in the region and add a strong team and expertise to its portfolio.
